And the winner is ...

Finishing up the Eurobricks Collectible Fig Series 5 results, first place was claimed by Cecile's Godzilla.
"Honey, dinner is ready!"
"Graaaawwwwrrr... *caugh* I mean, I'll be right down!"
"Are you playing Godzilla with your LEGO town again?"
"eh...."
"You better not come down here in that costume!"

Collectible fig vig 5

Over on Eurobricks they held another of their series of contests, challenging members to build a vig to feature of the series 5 Collectible Minifigs. Well, the winners are in. Let's take a look at a couple each day.

5th place went to Ninja Nin's zookeeper entry

4th place went to Cornelius Murdock's detective entry (obviously set at Reichenbach Falls).

Left Behind

On Thanksgiving one of the cable stations played the Home Alone movies. I think Lego27bricks' Left Behind is from the Martian version.

Happy Thanksgiving

A couple of years ago, Titolian wished us all a Happy Thanksgiving. I'm just about to reheat some turkey for dinner. I hope your day was less eventful than this minifig's was. :)

If only Luke were a dentist

Bonus points to anyone who gets into my brain and understands my reference above. Anyway, Walter Boy made this great vig of Luke in the Wampa cave.

Happy holidays

Viking0518 already has the special promo holiday set 3300020. From the packaging and instructions you can also see the upcoming promo 3300002, which can fit together with this to make a larger room. That set will come with a Santa fig.

Blast-off

I assume Cyberpacket's NASA Poland is for that LugPol contest on alternate Polish history. If so, that also suggests to me that the contest guidelines require a 16x16 base.

I want my flying car

I just want to restate my constant disappointment that here we are in a new century and we're still stuck rolling around on wheels. Stpman is looking ahead with this future car. BTW, I really like the color scheme here, with the repeated red.

Polish history

Over on LugPol they are having a contest to create MOCs based on alternative versions of Polish history. Unfortunately I know next to nothing about Poland's past, so I don't know what's going on in Jantin's entry, but I certainly like how he combined 8 interesting vigs into one overall MOC.

Merry October

Ace from FBTB notes that LEGO is offering this cool little scene if you buy $99 worth of sets via lego.com right now.

Open wide now!

According to Walter Boy, "Dr. Frankenstein originally had a job as a dentist. Unfortunately it didn't last very long."

Boomerang

I love lego27bricks' . The 8x8 base itself is featureless, and the fig and boomerang are simple, but the way the flight defines a space outside that space is fantastic.

Dance for me, George!

George always dreamed of making it on vaudeville. Now was his chance to shine!
Built for no particular reason... Or maybe it was just my love for dancing gorillas?

Walter Boy made this vig.
