Lady Liberty on vacation
Sorry about the lack of blog posts for three weeks, life has been hectic. In the meantime I've bookmarked a lot of MOCs to put here. For instance, Carnigee77 built Statue of Liberty Returns to France.

Time to vote
It's time to vote on the Eurobricks Collectible Minifig Contest series 7, 8 and 9. There are a ton of great entries, some of which I've already featured - I've got to go back and post a lot of the others. By far the darkest entry is Mr Bill's businessman. Remember, the rules for this contest specify that you don't actually include the collectible fig. Imagine the businessman "at an upside down or cockeyed position at the end of the clear rod coming from the roof overhang".

Down the rabbit hole
Spidertoutouille made this rabbit hole for the most recent Eurobricks Collectible contest. Too bad there's not a pic of the whole thing including the rabbit.

Eurobricks in down contest
Last week, when Eurobricks was down for a few days, an impromptu vig contest sprang up on Flickr. Now that the forum is back up, you can see all of the entries and vote on a winner. What do you do when your favorite LEGO forum goes off line? Some people get busy building, others just panic and bang their heads against the wall.

Summertime
Well, the first day of school is only a couple of days away, so it's time to bid adieu to the summer. There are some great vigs in the Toys n Bricks Summer Contest including Mista_Carrot's remembrance of the family road trip. Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

This vig will scare my son
Pascal made housework for his Iron Builder face-off.

BTW, on the title, my toddler son hates hates hates the vacuum cleaner. He always runs up to his room when we're cleaning.

Ai se eu te apanho!!
Luis Baixinho made Ai se eu te apanho!! for a space contest over on Comunidade 0937. Google translate says this means "oh if I get you!", but maybe Luis or someone else who speaks Portuguese can give a better translation.

And the winner is ...
Finishing up the Eurobricks Collectible Fig Series 5 results, first place was claimed by Cecile's Godzilla.
"Honey, dinner is ready!"
"Graaaawwwwrrr... *caugh* I mean, I'll be right down!"
"Are you playing Godzilla with your LEGO town again?"
"eh...."
"You better not come down here in that costume!"

Collectible fig vig 5
Over on Eurobricks they held another of their series of contests, challenging members to build a vig to feature of the series 5 Collectible Minifigs. Well, the winners are in. Let's take a look at a couple each day.
5th place went to Ninja Nin's zookeeper entry

4th place went to Cornelius Murdock's detective entry (obviously set at Reichenbach Falls).

Polish history
Over on LugPol they are having a contest to create MOCs based on alternative versions of Polish history. Unfortunately I know next to nothing about Poland's past, so I don't know what's going on in Jantin's entry, but I certainly like how he combined 8 interesting vigs into one overall MOC.

It's alive!
Eurobricks is having another of their Collectible Fig Contests, this time for Series 4. As with previous contests, the idea is that you build a vig to house one of the new Collectibles. For instance, Titolian made Frankenstein's Lab to house the monster.
