Matrix
In listening to the A Look at LEGO podcast interview with V&A Steamworks, they discussed his crazy arms customs. He mentioned that icgetaway used these arms to great effect for some Matrix scenes.

Horror then, romance now
JETfri's Then and Now project shows that the horror films of yesterday have become the schlocky teen romances of today.

That was then ...
Inspired by , JetFRI has done a series of Then and Now dueling vignettes, including the pop star, then and now. I particularly like the scenery backdrop for the opera singer.

Catan
I found this great LEGO version of Settlers of Catan. There have been a few others, but usually the different resource sections are all the same and at microscale. Here, though, each section is a little fig-scale vignette showing something about the resource for that area. For example, here are the sheep and wood sections.

This vig will scare my son
Pascal made housework for his Iron Builder face-off.

BTW, on the title, my toddler son hates hates hates the vacuum cleaner. He always runs up to his room when we're cleaning.

Missing person - HeatherLEGOGirl
If you're a regular reader of the variety of major LEGO blogs out there, you've already seen this, but I'm passing it along on the theory that at least some of my readers come from outside the hobbyist community. Heather Braaten, who you may know on various online forums as HeatherLEGOGirl, has been missing for the past week. She was last seen in Seattle, Washington. If you see Heather, or know anything of her whereabouts, please contact Lino Martins at linotopia AT hotmail DOT com , as he is in close touch with Heather's family, or directly contact the Seattle police department. Or use any of the contact information on the flyer below.

Who you gonna call?
The MOCathalon category 'Ghost Hunters' asks builders to take on the recent rash of reality shows (what's next, minifigs digging through storage lockers to find priceless antiques?). Rinse Jan built haunted hallway.

That'll teach you to kiss your brother "for luck"
In the MOCathalon category 'alternate Star Wars', Shannon Ocean has Luke and Leia go splat. Perhaps she should have kissed a wookie instead.

The dog ate my MOCathalon entry
Another MOCathalon category is 'the dog ate my homework', challenging builders to illustrate a lame excuse. Invisible Mime's Dog ate my homework sets off a long story akin to Bill and Ted, while in Cam M.'s A Dog Ate my Homewaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! the teacher has decided to stop putting up with these excuses.
