Eurobricks Collectable LEGO Minifigures Series 2 Building Contest
Over on Eurobricks they are holding a contest to highlight the Series 2 Collectible Minifigs. In Category A, participants were challenged to build an 8x8 vig to display one of the newest figs. In Category B, people built 16x16 vigs to show the interaction between figs from Series 1 and Series 2. Key to this contest is that the Series 2 fig was not supposed to be actually included in the MOC, so the viewers were to imagine its inclusion. You still have a few days to build and submit an entry, so get busy this weekend. For instance:

Now and forever
From Rick-ricks:
Cedric reached out his blood-stained hand towards the image of his deceased wife.
“It’s time to go now,” Mary whispered.
“My wife.”
“Now and forever in heaven my love.”

Pieces of eight
Forbidden Cove is celebrating their second anniversary by holding a Pieces of Eight Contest. This vignette contest has a really short deadline, so you only have a few days to build something. The first entries are Nanuck's What I heard in the Apple Barrel, Shmails' Newbie and Porschecm2's Pirate Aura.

Will you ...?
Perhaps congratulations are in order for bren92787, at least if this proposal vignette is autobiographical.

Surreal
Lord High Nerd tried his hand at some surrealist vigs. There is obviously some influence by Nannan here, but the result is quite nice.

Dr. Hasn't a Clue
Not sure how I missed blogging this, as I've certainly seen the MOCs. Dr. Sinister has been posting a series called Doctor Hasn't a Clue based on a somewhat stupid time lord who's always getting himself into crazy predicaments and landing his Tardis in the wrong places. You really have to go to Dr. Sinister's page to read his extensive descriptions of each scene.

License to build
Last week was the BrickWorld convention in Chicago. One of the attendees (could anyone supply the name?) made this nice homage to James Bond.

Just another LEGO in the wall
Following along with the idea of MOCing song lyrics, Gabbey Road J-Walker has a series of Pink Floyd vigs including Bring the Boys Back Home, Us and Them, and Any Colour You Like.
