Vig your friends
These came out a couple of months ago when I was swamped and not updating regularly. Keith Goldman made a series called Peace and Boilerplate, celebrating the legend of Ley Ward with vigs like "Peace and Finding the Right Spot" and "Peace and the Road to Ruin." Inspired by Keith's work, Jon Palmer made a series on the Travels of Aaron Sneary, with vigs like "Painting a Door" and "Atop the Rock, Atop the World."

Military contest
The LEGO Military group on Flickr, in conjunction with BrickArms, is holding a contest for military MOCs. One of the categories is for vigs. The rules are found here and entries will go in this thread. The deadline is May 31, so you've got a couple of months to build something.

Index caught up
In case anyone uses the featured MOC indexes over on the right-hand side, they are caught up as of this post. I've also checked and fixed the community sites, blogroll, etc. Anyone new to the community should look through those for a lot of different resources. Now it's on to indexing MicroBricks.

Time to vote
It's time to pick a winner in the Classic-Castle Vignette Story-Telling contest. Four vigs fit together to tell a story. If you're a forum member (and anyone is invited to join), you can vote here for your favorite from SirNadroj's Rescue from the moat monster, eNiGMa's Suave jerk, Jens' Hansel und Gretel, V1's In the name of ..., MrTS' But it wasn't me! or DARKspawn's Bring out your dead. Check out all the other great entries in this thread.

BrickJournal in print
I know I'm a little behind, but I just got my first hard copy version of BrickJournal. It's so cool to actually hold this high quality magazine in your hands and flip through the pages. No direct vig content in this edition :(, but maybe we'll fix that in upcoming editions ;). There is a SW vig by Verena Schaden in a feature on Female Fans of LEGO and if you look closely you can see Mark Stafford's Death in the Library in the background of a pic from LEGO WORLD 2007.

Blogroll caught up
I've updated the blogroll on the right-hand side of the screen (scroll down): I've removed dead links, shifted blogs from the active to the inactive roll, and added several that I was missing (mostly from Andrew's list over on The Brothers Brick, Thanks Andrew). For my purposes, an active blog is one that has had posts since January 1, 2008, as checked on March 13, 2008. Inactive blogs are those with no posting as of yet in 2008. Please let me know if your blog becomes active again, or if there are any I missed.

I am Legend
I haven't seen I am Legend yet, but perhaps I can just see it in vignette form with scenes by D-dot, McBrickBob and Legoloser345.
