Christmasification
Over on FBTB they're running a Christmasification contest, which in part calls for Star Wars themed Christmas vigs. Voting has begun. If you're a FBTB member, you have less than a day to vote for your favorite vigs in group A and group B. After that, the top three from each category will go head-to-head in a second round of voting. Some entries include Odinson1313's Luke Skywalker's Gift, Glorious Kyle'sI saw Vader Choking Santa Claus and

Back 2 Blogging
The members of Lowlug just finished their most recent MiniMocMadness contest, with the theme Back2School/Back2Work. Unfortunately I can't directly link to images from their site, and neither the winning entry, Stanley Efu's Debiteuren/Crediteuren, or the runner up, Back To Work!, and I cannot find those entries on some linkable site like Brickshelf or Flickr. So you'll have to go to the contest page to see these and all of the entries. Here, though, are Aliencat's entries.

Colossal Castle Contest time!
It's time for the annual Colossal Castle Contest. The admins of Classic-Castle invite all LEGO fans to come try their hand at a castle-themed creation and win fabulous prizes. Of particular interest to readers of this blog is the vignette category. You can be sure that I'll report on the various entries here. Since I'm a judge in the contest I won't make any particular comments on those entries until after the contest is over.

The Happening
I actually fell asleep during this movie, but I guess it was supposed to be scary enough to be on topic around Halloween. Joris.blok depicts Cloverfield.

But which one is Tweedle Dum?
I loved the caption on Pepa Quin's Election Time:
"I say my opponent's 3% tax hike goes too far!"
"And I say my opponent's 3% tax hike doesn't go far enough!"
BTW, this is reminiscent of Nathan Wells' Debate.

Bond Market
Hmm, I'm not sure which of these is new, but Mitch Hiveley's James Bond vigs recently popped up, and as it's been three years since I noted them, they're great to put up even if they're old. Check out Goldfinger and From Russia with Love.

Trophies!
I always love the trophies at the various fan fests. They're a great opportunity to make either a vig or a microscale MOC to fit the category being judged. A couple of the trophies at BrickCon included the one for Best CC City Wall, won by Thomas Wunz and the one for Best Castle Water MOC (won by who?). Both of these were built by JoshWedin, aka Floodllama.

Hate the game
Don't be hatin' Nermal just because he got some Bathin Apes. (Yeesh, I'm out of it. I had to look these up to realize it's a clothing and shoe brand.)

Anonymous BrickCon Vigs
Two vigs from BrickCon. I'm guessing these are by Chris Wunz?
-Edit- Ah, yes. Chris used a series of vigs as wedding cake toppers. Very cool.
