Perhaps Erik Amzallag feels as if he's pulled in opposite directions. Or at least that's how Schizoid Joe Vig feels.

Bond, James Bond
Mitch Hiveley has a series of James Bond vignettes, including On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Diamonds are Forever.
Sorting Monkey
Hmm, I'm not sure how to describe Kevin's new vig. You've just got to click the image and sing along with the song: Sorting Monkey.

Penguin Joe
Nathan Cunningham puts Adam Silcott's great penguin design to use in a kind of bizarre vig. Who knew that insane ninjas roamed the Antartic protecting the local fauna? Penguin Joe.
Gangs
In a pair of vigs by Steve Bishop, Joe Vig finds himself in the middle of a crossfire between two Gangs.
Jizou Statue
According to Dunechaser, "Jizou statues are representations of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in Japanese Buddhism. Guardians of children and travelers, Jizou line roads and mountain paths throughout the country." -- Jizou Statue

Out of town
I'll be out of town for the next week, so don't expect any VB updates until at least Friday.
More Narnian vigs
Dunechaser has continued to expand his line of Narnian vignettes. The Wardrobe connects with his previous Lantern Waste.
Treasure House depicts a scene from Prince Caspian, where the four Pevensy children reallize that these are the ruins of Cair Paravel.
In The Encounter, Eustace, Jill and Puddleglum meet two strange travellers on their road into the giant country.

Killers Five
Tiger0207 has one of my favorite Brickshelf galleries, full of very innovative presentations of his creations. He's recently turned his hand to vignettes, with a series of martial arts scenes called Killers Five.

BrickFest
It looks like vignettes were a big hit at BrickFest, with over 70 creations on display. We'll have a full report soon, but in the meantime, here is a gallery from the BrickFest vignette room, featuring, for instance, Beware the Ides of March by Scott Quirk

Daydreaming I
In Mr. D.'s newest creation, squires play at being knights in the courtyard while dreaming of the days when they will do battle for real. Daydreaming I.
BrickFest 2005
BrickFest 2005 is only a few days away! Are you getting excited? If you're in the Washington D.C. area, be sure to stop by for the public display. Here at VignetteBricks we'll have a special wrap-up report on the vignette display and Vig THIS! contest. In the meantime, keep an eye on Brickshelf for pictures of the event. One thing that always happens at BrickFest is a keynote address by a LEGO company representative (Jake McKee). The report is that you'll be able to listen to this address at Bricks in my Pocket and also read Jake's notes on LEGOfan.

Maul gets mauled
In a bit of sillines, a friend of gerth6000 has posted Maul gets mauled, in which Darth Maul faces the "power monkey jedis of doom".
Lantern Waste
In Dunechaser's newest vignette, Lucy accidentally stumbles through a wardrobe in a side room and finds herself in another world: Lantern Waste.
Red Dwarf
It looks like Anita Eenink is starting a series of vignettes that will fit together based on the Red Dwarf sers. She's started with Red Dwarf sleeping area.

MOC the Admins contest at Classic-Castle
Classic-Castle is running a new contest through the end of this month called MOC the Admins. Participants are called on to create vignettes featuring the administrators of C-C (including your friendly neighborhood vig-blogger). Sign up on Classic-Castle and try your hand at mocking, er, MOCing myself, Nate, Tony, Lenny, Kevoh, Ben or Troy (Hmm, do either Ben or Troy have vignette MOCs? Get with it, guys!).
Up or Down
Hmm, vignettes have been slow for the past few days, so I'll take the chance to highlight some old ones I've missed. Nelson Yrizarry plays with orientation in a very Escher-esque fashion in Up or Down.
