Nnenn

From all corners, members of the community have been remembering Nate Nielsen, known as nnenn, who was recently killed in a car accident. To understand many of these, you need to know that nnenn used a rubber band holder as his online avatar. Here is one example from Michael Jasper.

Over on Classic-Castle there is a monthly building challenge to encourage creative MOCs. This month the theme is Chess. This prompts me to post two older MOCs of my own: Chess in the park and Checkmate.

Brandon Griffith made a great chess set based on Star Wars, ANH. Some of the pieces are actually little 6x6 vigs, like Greedo and Obi-Wan.

11th Doctor

Lego nabii presents the 11th Doctor. I haven't watched any of the new iteration of Doctor Who, but I remember from the old days watching a lot of Tom Baker and Peter Davison that Time Lords were supposed to have 12 reincarnations. What are they planning to do if the series continues a couple more years?

Thirsty fig

I'm not sure what Michael Jasper's recent baseless vig has to do with Bavarian folklore, but that's what he's calling it. Is this an illustration from a particular story?

ClickBrick

It seems it must be time for the annual ClickBrick contest. A major Japanese LEGO store holds a regular contest challenging builders to make 16x16 scenes. Recently Wabisabi's Nodame Orchestra and TN-FACTORY's Super Express N700 and 923 have appeared on Brickshelf.
