Sandy Vig
Brik Masta presents Desert Drudgery: "Patroling the hot sandstone walls, catching the constant flow of raiders coming into town, and wearing sweaty chain-mail all day. This is the average day in desert area of the Crown Kingdom."

Captain Morgan: Scourge of the Pond
This is a great 10 x 10 stud vignette by 2 Much Caffeine. The minifigs are great, the faces are absolutely perfect. However, my favorite parts are the awesome micro pirate ships.

Rebellion on Classic-Castle
Well, sort of. In case you have missed it Caylin over on Classic-Castle has hosted a MOC the Admins contest, the purpose of which was to mock one (or more) of the admins using a vignette. The deadline was yesterday and here are some of my favourites:
(Oh, and beware of excessive amounts of puns!)
Aliencat stealing Tony's precious food pieces:

Legolord. shows Troy going green:

Quickblade22 never really understood this rule against trolling:

Griffon pictures the skellies trying to log in:

And wunztwice watches Tony disappear into the age of steam:

If you became a trapeze artist
then I'd become a tight-rope walker and walk across the air to you. Marisa brings us an equilibrist in a series of small circus MOCs.

Over the edge
Willie just keeps on screaming in 2 Much Caffeine's recreation of Over the Edge from the first part of Temple of Doom.

Vittorio Milanes tells a familiar tale. He came out of his dark age a while ago and suddenly realized he had an adult's freedom to buy sets. And the madness began. Now he's trying to cut back on his purchases and plan them out, so he can get a few of the larger sets he really wants rather than spending a little here and a little there fairly often. So when he passes the LEGO aisle in the store, he has to remind himself Oh no, you won't!.

Maybe this time
I'm not really sure what's going on in Michael Jasper's Maybe this time. Given his skills, I'm guessing he's waiting for a prize from some building contest to arrive in the mail. The thought bubble is just an amazing idea and build.

One small vig for man ...
Okay, this is actually depicting Alan Shepard from Apollo 14, but it's close enough to be a fitting MOC to post on the 40th anniversary of man first setting foot on the moon.

Mmmmm Chrooooome!
I've noticed several vigs featuring chrome on Brickshelf. It turns out Eurobricks is running a raffle to win a chrome Darth Vader. Eurobricks members can make an 8x8 vig featuring chrome in some way as entries. Some examples include these from Daniel, Okay and Alchemyst.

Who Dares Wins
This has been about since April, but I thought it was worth featuring.
Cuahchic recreates the storming of the Iranian Embassy in London by the SAS in 1980. I can distinctly remember the news coverage of the event at the time and this really evokes the moment.
The vig's 51cm height really gives this some theatrical "verticality", and some of the architectural and interior details (viewed more easily in the Flickr folder) are excellent.
