Let the games begin
Thekla on 1000steine.de is hosting a Olympic games vignette contest, with the theme of vigs celebrating the upcoming summer games. It's only for 1000steine members, but we'll be sure to keep an eye out for great builds, like Micha2's Go for the gold.

Brick scenes
Over on Forum 0937 they are holding a 50 Years of the Brick contest. I don't read Portuguese, so maybe someone can help fill in the details, but as I understand it the idea is to take an over-sized 2x4 brick and turn it into the centerpiece of a scene. Examples include Tania Baixinho's Beach, Rupi's Black Brick and my personal favorite, ztp's Let's Play.
